Gallery Sklo is pleased to participate in Kiaf SEOUL and Frieze SEOUL, opening September 2 at COEX, Seoul.
At Kiaf SEOUL, the gallery builds on its longstanding focus on glass while expanding into ceramics, metal, and media. Artists include SHIN Sang Ho, IEZUMI Toshio, KIM Kira, LEE Sangmin, PARK Sungwon, Paul C., PARK Sunghoon, and KIM Namdoo, presenting a selection of their new and key works. The presentation brings together the physical light shaped by glass, clay, and metal with the immaterial light of media, creating a dialogue across different forms and materials.
This year also marks Gallery Sklo’s first participation in Frieze SEOUL, where we join the newly launched Material Practice section. Curated by Artistic Director CHO Hyeyoung, the section highlights practices rooted in a deep engagement with materials, processes, and their relationship to artistic form. Gallery Sklo presents an installation of Structure & Force – Bird by Shin Sang Ho, a pioneering figure who has expanded the boundaries of contemporary Korean ceramics.
