Gallery Sklo is pleased to present 《Drawing the Dreamscape》, the first solo exhibition of Lee Taehoon, opening on November 21. This exhibition marks a culmination of the artist’s long summer of introspection, revealing a point of arrival where emotional trajectories are translated into line -a purified inner rhythm made visible. The works on view embody a refined density, holding within them the lingering resonance of light.

Lee’s work is grounded in the ‘Filigrana glass technique’, in which glass canes are heated, drawn into delicate lines, and layered repeatedly to build form. In this practice, the line is not decorative nor merely structural; it arises from the subtle vitality of a drifting dandelion seed and is shaped by the artist’s breath, tremor, and inner negotiation. The line holds the grain of time—a trace of moments slowly accumulated and settled into form.
Each line is not a single gesture, but a trace of the mind passing through. The subtle vibrations left on the glass surface, the slow diffusion of color, and the strata of luminous hues record a passage in which emotion moves through darkness and is gradually transfigured into light. The works in this exhibition present what the artist describes as ‘a night sky drawn in lines of the mind.’ Within these, we encounter moments in which long-held emotions rise again, clarified and illuminated.

The lines inscribed in glass no longer carry the residue of unrest; they now speak in a language of quiet equilibrium. Standing before the works, the viewer may sense the afterglow of light extending inward, leaving a soft, resonant calm.
